First Aid at Work Full Course (3 Day)

This course is determined by Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. After successfully passing the final assessment, the student is a qualified First Aider. Certificates are valid for 3 years.

First Aid at Work Re-Qualifying (2 Day)

Under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, First Aid Certificates are only valid for 3 years. To comply with these Regulations, a Re-Qualifying Course is necessary within these 3 years. All students must produce a valid First Aid Certificate to FrintonTraining Services before the start of the course.

Guidelines from HSE state that certificates may be renewed 3 months before expiry date, a new certificate will be dated from the old expiry date. If your First Aiders have had little practice since qualifying, you should consider them attending a complete 3-day course again.

Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day)

The aim of this course is to teach the life saving procedures in First Aid, including how to handle emergencies.

This course is suitable for low risk small firms and offices to comply with the needs of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

There is no examination, but students will be assessed during the course. An attendance certificate will be issued to those who prove satisfactory in this subject.

Paediatric First Aid:  0-5 Years  (12 Hour)

As from August 2008 all environments where children are being supervised must have a 12 hour Paediatrician First Aider.

This course is designed to teach those working in a childcare environment the correct first aid procedures when treating babies & children with various injuries/conditions. It will also cover record keeping and appropriate contents for a first aid kit.

Upon reaching a competent standard in all units each student will receive a certificate of attainment. The certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of completion of the course. In-house bookings will also receive a group certificate for display purposes.

Fire Awareness / Marshal

BLS / Resuscitation / CPR / Dealing with an Unconscious Person

Participants will be taught how to preserve life in an emergency situation.

The course is suitable for any organisation that has access to an AED and requires staff training and certification.

This course also meets the requirements of health care professionals and support staff, and can be used as evidence of CPD.

Anaphylaxis (auto-injector) training can be added to the above if required.

  • BLS / CPR / Defibrillation training - 2 hours

  • BLS / CPR / Defibrillation / Auto-Injector training - 2.5 hours

Individual and groups certificates issued.

Playground / Minor Injuries First Aid are specifically aimed at treating the more common types of injuries / conditions that do not require hospital treatment.

The session can be tailored to your needs.
